Vandalia Team Donates to Make-a-Wish Foundation; Helps Grant Wish of 12-Year-Old Boy
Inteva employees from Vandalia demonstrated their dedication to community by donating $1,500 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation on June 11. The donation made it possible to grant the wish of 12-year-old Ashton, giving him the opportunity to meet Peter Cullen, the voice of Optimus Prime, and to ride the Transformers roller coaster with him.
In order to raise the funds for Ashton, the Vandalia team hosted a pancake breakfast and sold raffle tickets. In addition to donating to Make-A-Wish foundation, the team selects a different charity each month to support. They raise the money for these monthly donations by participating in a weekly “Giving Day” in which employees are encouraged to donate a dollar to wear jeans to work.
“We care for the world and our communities” is an Inteva core value held dear by employees around the world. Thank you to the Vandalia employees for working together to make a difference.

Gadsden Volunteers at United Way Day of Action
At United Way Day of Action, the Inteva team from Gadsden, AL split into groups and completed work for four different agencies. One group conducted a landscape project at a local elementary school. Another group volunteered at the library where they were tasked with typing descriptions to accompany more than 2,000 old pictures. Two other groups painted at the Boy’s and Girl’s Club and a local Drama and Arts Studio.
This event is the county's largest single-day volunteer effort in action. Hundreds of volunteers from local businesses, companies and schools fanned out across the county to help local non-profit agencies catch up on the long list of projects needing to be completed. Tasks such as painting, landscaping, cleaning and general maintenance needed attention and 16 employees from Inteva's Gadsden location volunteered to take part. Some team members even recruited their family members to help.
A job well done by our team members in Gadsden, Alabama.

Zhenjiang Collaborates with Hongyun Logistics to Collect Money and Books for Local School
Inteva employees at the Zhenjiang, China location organized a book donation in honor of Children’s Day, celebrated throughout China on June 1. With the support of the entire staff, the activity raised money and collected about 200 children’s books. All proceeds went to students at Xinjiang, a local school where educational resources are currently lacking.
Hongyun Logistics, one of Inteva’s suppliers, not only helped to deliver the books to Xinjiang for free, but also donated about 100 new books for the school. On May 29, the plant held a ceremony in which representatives of Xinjiang were able to meet members of the Zhenjiang plant. Children of the Zhenjiang employees recorded a video sending their best wishes to Xinjiang students which was shown at the ceremony.
Through this effort, the Zhenjiang team not only helped their local community, they also strengthened an important supplier relationship. Well done, team!
