On September 11, Inteva and GM volunteered with Habitat for Humanity Oakland County to rebuild and rehabilitate two homes in Pontiac, Michigan that will be purchased by two very deserving and hardworking families.
Habitat for Humanity is an international, non-governmental, and nonprofit organization devoted to building "simple, decent, and affordable" housing. It has addressed the issues of poverty housing all over the world. At the Inteva and GM event, volunteers performed various construction tasks including the installation of hardware, painting, siding repair, exterior fencing, landscaping, dry walling and more. Thanks to the efforts of this team, the families are now a few steps closer to moving into their new homes.
“Teaming up with GM to contribute to those in need is rewarding and demonstrates a sincere sense of corporate citizenship for taking ownership of bettering the local community,” said to Pat Eckhout, Senior Global Sales Director. “Joining with GM on this project shows a commitment towards our common goal to better the world in which we live.”
