Inteva's superior craftsmanship and quality won the prestigious Grand Prize at the 2012 SPE Auto Innovations Awards Gala on November 7, 2012. Inteva was eligible for the Grand Prize having won the Body Interiors category, one of 12 category winners considered for SPE's highest annual award. These awards were presented to our customer General Motors recognizing Inteva’s innovative all-olefin, soft-skin, stitched, full instrument panel system for the 2013 GM Lambda Crossover Vehicles. It is a great industry honor and privilege to be deemed Grand Prize winner in a competition known as the Oscars of the plastics and composites industry. “The Grand Award represents the best combination of innovation in design execution, processing and materials, as judged by our SPE Blue Ribbon Judging Panel,” said Jeffrey H. Helms, Ph.D., global automotive manager at Ticona Engineering Polymers. “On behalf of the Inteva team, who has worked tirelessly to develop the material, processes and design production execution hand-in-hand with our esteemed customer, General Motors, I would like to thank SPE for this recognition and thank GM for the opportunity to introduce this great set of new vehicles” as said by President & CEO Lon Offenbacher.
