Consumers Energy delivers an energy rebate check of $150,000
TROY, Mich., Feb. 24, 2015 – Inteva Products, LLC, a leading global automotive supplier of high-tech engineered components and systems, will receive a $150,000 rebate from Consumers Energy for energy efficiency measures it made at the company’s Adrian, MI facility. A check presentation celebration will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 25 at 10 a.m. at 1451 E. Beecher Adrian, MI 49221.
“Inteva is committed to actions to restore and preserve the environment,” said Clive Smith, Inteva Products Adrian Plant Manager. “We are committed to reducing waste and pollutants, conserving resources and recycling materials at every stage of the product life cycle. Using less electricity helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions, stabilize volatile energy prices and boost energy security. Being honored for our efforts is very rewarding.”
Inteva is a leading global supply partner for value-based innovation and environmentally-friendly products that enhance quality and performance. Inteva’s Adrian facility team reviewed equipment at the plant and recognized a number of pieces were not as energy-efficient as possible. By replacing the equipment and updating newer controls, the facility has saved enough energy to support expanded capacity without raising the cost of energy.
“We are strongly committed to helping our customers achieve their energy efficiency goals, and are pleased to partner with Inteva at its Adrian facility,” said Barbara Mitzel, area manager with Consumers Energy.
In October 2008, Gov. Jennifer Granholm signed legislation directing Michigan utilities to offer energy efficiency programs to customers. In the summer of 2009, Consumers Energy launched comprehensive electric and gas energy efficiency programs. Consumers Energy recognizes that everyone has the power to save. Improving efficiency in homes and businesses is clean, smart and relatively inexpensive.
