On Earth Day, April 22, 2014, the Inteva Adopt a Road cleanup crew in Troy, Michigan picked up trash alongside Crooks Road where the company's headquarters is located. Inteva has adopted a mile-long stretch on Crooks Road and has committed to keeping the roadsides free of litter and debris. Three times a year, once in each the spring, summer, and fall, team members in Troy volunteer their time to support this community effort.
Four garbage bags were filled with trash and debris during the cleanup. Prior to the cleanup, the team received safety training and each volunteer was provided with gloves and bright yellow safety vests. To ensure safety, the team was told not to remove debris from the road itself, but only to pick up trash from the roadsides.
“This commitment emulates environmental stewardship and is another example of our dedication to the community,” said Tom Munley, Vice President, Human Resources. “I appreciate the team’s support and involvement in this important community improvement effort.”
