In 2017, the approximately 400 employees at Troy World Headquarters sponsored internal fundraisers and planned volunteer events to benefit 16 local charities, amounting in more than $37,000 in support. The team also collected and donated hundreds of food items, supplies, and other needed items.
Charities were chosen by each department, with many people choosing something that was close to their heart. Selected charities included STEP (Services to Enhance Potential), Forgotten Harvest, Habitat for Humanity, Child and Family Services of Michigan (Operation Good Cheer), Methodist Children’s Home Society, Arthritis Foundation, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, among others.
“The Troy Cares program is one of our favorite employee activities at headquarters,” said Randi Taylor, Senior Marketing Communications Specialist. “I am always impressed by the collective effort the team gives to community activities. In 2017, we set a record of giving and I couldn’t be more proud to be a part of this team.”
Throughout the year’s charitable activities, Inteva employees were onsite in the community serving food, building houses, beautifying neighborhoods, delivering meals, and providing companionship for those in need. Employees also shopped for toys and other needed goods, baked desserts, and collected clothing to help their selected causes.
