Inteva Troy employees have come together to reach an all-time high in charitable donations through creative and collaborated efforts to raise needed funds for local charities. In addition to Troy’s weekly cookout luncheons hosted by an employee volunteer group named People Helping the Underprivileged and Needy (PHUN), where employees purchase lunch with proceeds going to a different selected charity each month, were other opportunities for employees to give to those in need.
During the General Motors Ride & Drive on August 19 employees had the opportunity to purchase tickets to enter a raffle for a chance to win one of many prizes donated by local business or could purchase an Inteva polo shirt with all proceeds donated to the Troy Beaumont Children’s Hospital. At the end of the Ride & Drive donations were tallied and a total amount of $3,898 was presented to the organization.
In addition to PHUN’s August donation to the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MSD), Bill Hanna, Vice President and Executive Director of Closure Systems, participated in the annual MSD Lock-Up Fundraiser Event. This brought more attention and hype for employees to donate more than usual during PHUN luncheons to support Bill Hanna. A total of $1,176.07 was presented to the Muscular Dystrophy Association on September 14.
In addition to PHUN’s September donation of $1,500 to Gleaners Food Bank, Weingartz, an outdoor power equipment company, matched Inteva’s donation. This provided a total donation of $3,000 to local families in need.
