The Special Automotive “Treads and Threads” Fashion Show Features Inteva’s Inteather™

TROY, Mich., Jan. 6, 2015 – Inteva Products, LLC, a leading global automotive supplier of engineered components and systems, is proud to be a primary sponsor of the 2015 MotorCity Automotive Industry Night (MAIN) Event at Detroit’s Orchestra Hall on Sunday, January 11, 2015.

The 2015 MAIN Event kicks off the week of the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) by celebrating automotive design. The invitation-only event includes a fashion show, design competition and a presentation of awards to honor the achievements of Mark Fields, president and CEO of Ford Motor Company, and Klaus Busse, vice president of interior design at Chrysler Group, LLC.

The “Detroit Fashion Week Show” features automotive-inspired garments constructed by Michigan-based fashion designers and includes a competition called “Treads and Threads”, sponsored by Inteva.   Five designers will be using Inteva’s Inteather™ material in their runway creations in a competition to attend the NAIAS Charity Preview later in the week. The judges include 2014 MAIN Event fashion competition winner, Janna Coumoundoros, Inteva’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing and an executive member of the MAIN event, Gerard Roose; as well as the winners of a student design competition held by the MAIN Event organizer Lawrence Technological University (LTU).

“Interior design is such an integral component to the automotive experience,” said Roose. “We are pleased to be sponsoring the MAIN event for the fourth year in a row. We passionately support current and future design leaders and enjoy watching their impact on the industry.”

The event begins at 6:00 p.m. with a cocktail reception and is followed by industry award presentations, a strolling dinner and the fashion show.
