Troy-based Employees Raised over $13,000

TROY, Mich., Jan. 21, 2015 – Inteva Products, LLC, a leading global automotive supplier of engineered components and systems, prides itself on giving back to the local communities in which it works. In 2014, the more than 300 employees at the company’s World Headquarters in Troy, Michigan sponsored internal fundraisers that raised more than $13,000, collected hundreds of donations of food and supplies, and volunteered countless hours in support of 26 Southeast Michigan charities.

Charities were chosen by each department, with many people choosing something that was close to their heart, such as Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries, Blessings in a Backpack, Motown Soup, Friends of Foster Kids, Michigan Humane Society, Lighthouse of Oakland County, National Multiple Sclerosis Society and the Children’s Hospital of Michigan.

“Community outreach is extremely important to us and I’m proud of the charitable work our employees accomplish,” said Inteva President and CEO Lon Offenbacher. “The services and programs the local charities provide are essential and we are pleased to help them out.”

Throughout the 2014 program, Inteva employees were onsite in the community serving food, working in food pantries, helping to restore and build affordable housing, planting trees, walking dogs, packing weekend meals for at risk students and more. Inteva’s culture of giving is already carrying into 2015 with employees scheduled to volunteer on February 6 at Gleaners Food Bank.

Lizabeth Wiggins, Volunteer Resources Officer at Lighthouse of Oakland County, voiced the sentiment heard across the charities, “Corporations like Inteva provide support and resources… that fuel Lighthouse’s mission of empowering individuals and families to move from crisis to self-sufficiency.”
